As you can guess from our name, we at Best Disposal Inc. specialize in all types of waste disposal, including everything from dumpster rentals to recycling. One of the many services that we provide is yard waste recycling. Many people are already familiar with the idea of yard waste recycling in the form of composting, but not everyone is aware that you can recycle this organic material on a larger scale than just a personal compost bin. In this article, we’ll go over more about our yard waste recycling process in order to convince you to give it a try.
- Pick-Up-The first step in the yard waste recycling process is picking it up from your yard. Our team will haul away your grass cuttings, raked leaves, cut branches, etc. and take the waste to a specialized recycling facility. We will also remove any stray pieces of plastic that have made their way into your yard waste, but we ask you to keep any non-organic trash separate to make the whole process easier.
- First Decomposition- At the yard waste recycling facility, all this organic material will be left to sit in the sun for roughly two months. This ensures that the waste has time to decompose and start releasing its nutrients for use as soil, fertilizer, or mulch.
- Grinding and Second Decomposition- The next step in this process is to grind the yard waste into a finer mix. Everything is run through industrial grinders that reduce large branches to mulch. After that, the newly ground mulch is left to decompose again for another two to six months, darkening in color and releasing more nutrients into the mix.
